LC Packaging is underlining its commitment to innovation. To further enhance its Research and Development (R&D) efforts, the company has added an Innovation Manager to the LC Packaging Team, Hendrik van Es.
The addition of an Innovation Manager is yet another step LC Packaging is taking after publishing its 2030 Ambition sustainability strategy earlier this year. In it, the company’s three ambitious goals on Living Wage, Circularity, and Climate Action are set out.
The upcoming plastics, regulations, taxes, and incentive schemes mark a major step towards the need for sustainable packaging. Essentially, in the near future, non-sustainable packaging will become more expensive than sustainable packaging. Packaging should not contribute to poverty, waste, pollution, climate change or biodiversity loss. It should be a solution to bring valuable goods unharmed to the marketplace and therewith bring value to society; socially, environmentally, and economically. With its R&D team, LC Packaging is ready for the next step in packaging.
