10 years ago, the United Nations Guiding Principles on Business and Human Rights, based on which we have partly created our four areas of commitment as described in our Sustainability Vision 2022, were introduced. They were the first corporate human rights responsibility initiative to be endorsed by the UN. We are extremely proud to announce that LC Packaging will be part of a one hour introductory webinar on the corporate responsibility to respect human rights, organised by the Global Compact Network Netherlands with support of KPMG.
During this webinar, Lotte Mastwijk, Manager Communications and Sustainability, is invited to share LC Packaging’s efforts and challenges in achieving human rights due diligence. The webinar will be hosted via Microsoft Teams and is part of a series of events and support activities organised throughout 2021. The goal is that participants will leave the webinar equipped with a basic understanding of the regulatory human rights landscape and why the time to act is now – supported by a number of reference materials to explore the topic further.
The webinar takes place on Tuesday 13 April 2021 CET and is open to anyone who wishes to attend, free of charge. Register here to join the one-hour webinar.
LC Packaging is committed to contributing to the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDG’s). In our Sustainability Vision 2022, we have identified four areas of commitment, based on the Ten Principles regarding Human Rights, Labour, Environment and Anti-corruption. We have created various targets for each of these four areas of commitment. We have incorporated these targets in our daily business agenda to improve our environmental, economic and social impact while making a bit of profit along the way.
