It was 2016 when LC Packaging became an official shareholder of Karl Weiterer Sack- und Planenfabrik GmbH (in short: Weiterer). In 2022, Weiterer became a 100% subsidiary of LC Packaging. And with its 105 years of experience, Weiterer holds an incredible amount of knowledge, experience and valuable connections.

In June 2022, LC Packaging GmbH and Weiterer began the process of merging operations, a journey marked by collaboration, challenges, and growth. From the outset, the focus was on building trust, aligning company cultures, and identifying synergies to create a unified and stronger organisation. Combining processes and habits required patience and mutual understanding, with teams investing time in learning from each other and sharing knowledge to strengthen collaboration.

The merger also involved optimising IT systems, stabilising operations, and preparing for key transitions like data and email integration. Cultural differences were embraced as opportunities to improve decision-making and foster cohesion, ensuring that changes were implemented thoughtfully and with team alignment at the forefront.

As the merger is completed, the combined company is focused on building a strong future together.
