This week, LC Packaging has launched a new programme to identify key components for a sustainable future for our packaging solutions: How Sustainable Is… (HSI). The aim of the HSI Programme is to extensively research the question ‘How Sustainable Is?’ for all main LC Packaging product groups. The outcomes of this research, including risks and opportunities, will serve as input for a long-term strategy.
Product Managers from all main product groups (Cardboard, Net Bags, Jute Bags, WPP bags and FIBC), together with external experts from the Netherlands Institute for Sustainable Packaging (KIDV), have started a 6-week assignment to analyse risks and opportunities in the value chain.
By making sure our packaging contributes to a sustainable future, we ensure a sustainable future for our packaging. To become more sustainable we have to increase our knowledge and to understand our impact, transform risks and seize opportunities. By launching the HSI Programme, we believe we take an important step in the right direction.
At LC Packaging we aim to include all stakeholders in our journey to provide sustainable packaging solutions while minimising the impact on the environment and the waste of valuable packaging materials. We are also continuously developing ways to enrich the communities in which we (in)directly operate. Together with our stakeholders, we aim to leave a better world for future generations to enjoy.
