The road to sustainability is endless and everyone can contribute, individually and collectively. That is what our employees have shown over the past 40 days. LC Packaging employees from around the world have taken on the challenge of decreasing their individual Environmental Footprints during the LC Footprint Challenge. Through the challenge, LC Packaging created awareness about important sustainability themes in a fun, playful way. The LC Footprint Challenge made sustainability tangible and a connecting factor between all layers of the organisation.
Together we have taken over 4,200 actions and reduced our footprints by an average of 2,812 m2 per person to 3.43 hectares. In total, we have reduced our collective footprint with 39 hectares. This is the same as 55 soccer fields!
The Footprint Challenge is an internal sustainability programme in which employees are challenged in an interactive and competitive way to reduce their footprint and increase their handprint in 40 days by taking small sustainable actions. During these 40 days, they get practical tips and tricks from special Footprint Coaches.
At LC Packaging we aim to include all stakeholders in our journey to provide sustainable packaging solutions while minimising the impact on the environment and the waste of valuable packaging materials. We are also continuously developing ways to enrich the communities in which we (in)directly operate. Together with our stakeholders, we aim to leave a better world for future generations to enjoy.
