This year, LC Packaging International has again been rewarded with the EcoVadis Platinum Medal for the third consecutive year. With a total score of 84/100 we belong to the top 1% highest rated companies of more than 100,000 companies assessed and top 1% in our industry. In our assessment we included all our operations, including affiliates (sales offices and warehouses), our WorldBag reconditioning service and our FIBC manufacturing sites in Bangladesh (Dutch-Bangla Pack Ltd.) and South Africa (LC Shankar). The acknowledgement by EcoVadis proves our ongoing commitment to sustainability and CSR.
Especially our labour practices and human rights efforts (90/100) and sustainable procurement activities (80/100) are acknowledged and turn out to be exceptional in our industry.
Needless to say, LC Packaging is extremely proud of this achievement, but what does this achievement mean for our customers? With a 84/100 score compared to an average industry score of 50/100, our customers can be assured of doing business with an industry leader in sustainability and CSR, helping them to:
Prove responsible sourcing from developing countries with an outstanding 90/100 score on labour practices and human rights.
Uplift own performance in sustainable procurement, by choosing a supplier that excels in sustainability.
The EcoVadis assessment comes with a complete and extensive assessment report which can easily replace (elements of) company audits and extensive questionnaires. This saves time, improves efficiency and ensures transparency by providing a fully independent appraisal.
Improve supply chain resilience, ensuring a strong and stable partnership in times of crisis without compromising the environment or people’s health.
Excel instead of being ‘in compliance’ with world leading social and environmental standards, avoiding the risk of non-compliance when standards tighten and new regulations are introduced.
Eliminate the risk of reputational damage related to environmental or social wrongdoings in Tier I and Tier II supply chain due to an outstanding 80/100 score on sustainable procurement.
Ensure there are no ‘surprises’ as all of our operations are included in the assessment.
Together promote the value of implementing high standards, commit to sustainable procurement and set an example in the industry.
Gain and share knowledge on sustainable practices in the supply chain.
EcoVadis is one of the world’s largest providers of business sustainability ratings. Over 100,000 companies, spread over 175 countries and 200 industries are already assessed based on 21 sustainability criteria divided into four main topics: Environment, Labour Practices and Human Rights, Ethics and Sustainable Procurement.
The assessment is an evaluation of how well a company has integrated the principles of sustainability and CSR into their businesses and management system and is based on international sustainability standards, such as Global Reporting Initiative, UN Global Compact and ISO 26000.
