LC Packaging buys majority share in Hagens Verpakkingen

International packaging distributor LC Packaging has bought a majority share in Hagens Verpakkingen. The box erecting station in Venlo, which predominantly serves the fruit and vegetable sector in the southeast of the Netherlands and in the border region of Germany, erects boxes of both corrugated cardboard and solid cardboard. LC Packaging’s interest means the quality of the products and services will be maintained, and the services offered will be expanded.
An important step
For LC Packaging, the purchase of Hagens Verpakkingen is an important addition to the box erecting stations in Sint-Katelijne-Waver and Sint Truiden in Belgium. The name ‘Hagens Verpakkingen’ will stay the same, as will the box erecting services being provided to existing customers. Not much will change for the 15 or so employees, either, and the former owners Dennis and Maaike Hagens will still be closely involved in daily operations.
Fully erected boxes
With LC Packaging, Hagens will now have the capacity to offer the whole package. In addition to offering box erecting services, Hagens will be able to provide fully erected boxes, folding boxes and cardboard punnets to the fruit and vegetable sector. For LC Packaging, the purchase will allow for more flexibility and standardisation, increasing reliability for customers.
