Hagens Verpakkingen Starts Strategic Partnership With Fruitmasters

On Wednesday afternoon, 1 June 2022, Dennis Hagens, director of Hagens Verpakkingen, officially confirmed the collaboration between the two parties by handing over the first packaging to Adriaan Vis, commercial director of FruitMasters. Due to DS Smith's decision to end all its set-up activities, Hagens Verpakkingen will continue these in Geldermalsen. FruitMasters and Hagens Verpakkingen are looking forward to the strategic collaboration.
Central location
The favourable location of the new set-up location is an important advantage for Hagens Verpakkingen, which comes from Venlo. “The new location gives us the necessary set-up capacity to be able to properly serve the center and north of the Netherlands,” says Dennis Hagens, director of Hagens Verpakkingen. “This means a significant geographical expansion of our setup area.” With LC Packaging as the main shareholder of Hagens Verpakkingen, the new location offers strategic opportunities for both parties to further expand their activities. The relationship with FruitMasters also plays an important role. Dennis Hagens: "We are very happy that we can continue the set-up activities for FruitMasters, the largest fruit cooperative in the Netherlands, and look forward to a great collaboration." With the expansion in Geldermalsen, Hagens Verpakkingen is taking an important step in achieving its growth objectives. In addition to FruitMasters, other parties can also use this set-up facility.
Efficiency & Flexibility
As a source platform in fruit, the in-house set-up station brings many advantages to FruitMasters, Adriaan Vis explains: “Because we set up boxes on our own site, we can switch quickly and respond to the needs of the market. In addition, it contributes to a more sustainable chain through efficient storage of blank packaging and the minimization of unnecessary transport movements with empty boxes. In Hagens Verpakkingen we see a suitable partner for the future in the rapidly changing market for cardboard packaging for boxes and trays.
