Your Role:

You will lead and develop the Account Management team to deliver sustainable growth through a solution-led, consultative sales approach.

You will help the team move beyond selling products to understanding customer challenges, creating value, and delivering solutions that build long-term partnerships.

Success in this role comes from being visible in the market, developing strategic customer relationships, creating new opportunities, and turning commercial insight into action.

What You’ll Do:

Drive Commercial Growth:

  • Deliver agreed revenue, margin, and growth objectives in collaboration with the Leadership Team;
  • Develop the FIBC business with larger strategic customers and target opportunities;
  • Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline with clear ownership and follow-through;
  • Balance existing customer development with a proactive approach to winning new business;
  • Translate business strategy into practical sales plans and measurable actions;
  • Identify opportunities for growth across target markets and customer segments.

Lead and Develop the Sales Team:

  • Coach and support Account Managers through regular customer visits, field activity, and development conversations;
  • Create a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement;
  • Establish clear expectations around sales activity, opportunity management, and customer engagement;
  • Help individuals develop their commercial confidence and capability.

Understand and Grow the Market:

  • Develop strong knowledge of customers, competitors, and market trends;
  • Identify where future growth opportunities exist and support the team in capturing them;
  • Use CRM systems, reporting, and commercial data to improve decision-making;
  • Ensure customer feedback and market intelligence influence business decisions.

Be the Link Between Customers and the Business:

  • Work closely with Operations, Supply Chain, Marketing, and Finance to deliver customer value;
  • Share market insight with senior leadership to influence future growth plans;
  • Support the development of solutions that meet customer challenges, not just product requirements;
  • Build strong internal relationships to ensure we deliver what we promise.

Support Key Customers and Opportunities:

  • Develop trusted relationships with strategic customers;
  • Support complex negotiations and larger commercial opportunities;
  • Understand customer needs, challenges, and future requirements;
  • Recognise that successful selling is built on trust, credibility, and persistence.

  • Enjoys being close to customers and understanding their challenges;
  • Can coach, motivate, and develop different personalities within a team;
  • Combines relationship-building skills with commercial discipline;
  • Understands the importance of data, pipeline management, and structured sales activity;
  • Is comfortable selling solutions and value, not simply products;
  • Can influence strategy while remaining hands-on in execution.

Your Background:

You will ideally have:

  • Proven experience leading a B2B sales team with measurable results;
  • Experience within sectors such as industrial packaging, FIBC, manufacturing, food ingredients, chemicals, or related industries would be advantageous;
  • Strong commercial awareness and customer focus;
  • Experience working within an international or multi-site environment;
  • Excellent communication skills in English.

Who You Are:

  • Ambitious, positive, and commercially curious;
  • A natural relationship builder who enjoys creating opportunities;
  • A leader who spends time with customers and their team — not just behind a desk;
  • Comfortable challenging, coaching, and developing others;
  • Someone who takes ownership and enjoys making things happen;
  • Willing to travel across the UK and internationally when required, including collaboration visits with HQ in the Netherlands and other group locations.
