Product Manager FIBC

As our new product manager you will be the linchpin between our headquarter, offices abroad and production partners. You offer technical support to our FIBC colleagues all over the world and work actively on our circular solutions whilst thinking about the perfect market proposition for our versatile big bags. You will be reporting to our Team Leader FIBC.

FIBC’s (Flexible Intermediate Bulk Containers), also known as big bags, are used worldwide and the ideal packaging to protect dry bulk products during transport and temporary storage. Using FIBC’s helps reduce packaging material’s carbon foodprint and increases supply chain safety.

Key responsibilities

  • Working on finding the perfect packaging solution for often global industry leaders in dairy, food, pharma and specialty chemicals among others.
  • Leading product innovation projects for our packaging and circular solutions.
  • Supporting and advising your FIBC-colleagues on their customers’ questions and/or complaints together with our Quality department.
  • Training new colleagues on the technical aspects of the FIBCs and capabilities of our different suppliers. You will develop new training tools in addition to our existing tools to do so.
  • Working with our Marketing colleagues to support other offices in developing value- adding market propositions for our wide variety of FIBC-solutions.
  • Keeping chart of all pending projects, including regular status-updates on product development, sourcing and costs.
  • Traveling regularly to visit our offices abroad or our production partners to discuss pricing or technical demands.

  • You have great organizational skills and an eye for detail.
  • You are a team player with strong communication skills and a good listener.
  • Your analyzing abilities enable you to make informed decisions.
  • The technical specifications of our packaging excite you.
  • You are independent and not afraid of a challenge.
  • You have an affinity for sales and solving our customers’ challenges.
  • You are not afraid to travel (approximately once a month in Europe and once a year in Asia).

Knowledge & experience

  • You have completed HBO, or similar, in the field of economics and commerce or a technical study.
  • You have 2 – 5 years of experience in a similar position or a position in or related to the packaging industry
  • Your English language skills are excellent, both written and spoken. Knowledge of German is preferred.
  • You have experience with working in a multicultural, international environment.
  • You are, preferably, familiar with Dynamics CRM and/or SAP.
